9-axle pendulum axle semi low loader
For the most challenging but especially heavy transports, Van den Heuvel Speciaaltransporten B.V. from Bakel (NL) has taken into use a 9-axle pendulum axle semi low loader. The family business from the Netherlands has been active in the field of special transport for many years and has become big thanks to its flexibility. To continue this flexibility towards its clients, Van den Heuvel has invested in this new all-rounder.
"The 9-axle, designed as a 3+6 configuration, is the pendulum axle semi low loader that has all the advantages in one," says Gydo van den Heuvel (owner of Van den Heuvel Speciaaltransporten B.V.). "The high stroke of 600 mm, being able to prestress the trailer, the modular ability to add an extra beam or joker axle, switching the steering from the side of the trailer and using the semi without a dolly make this trailer the most multifunctional in the market. Something that fits our business operations exactly."
The pendulum axle technology is based on that of the US army. "The extensive tests, in which Broshuis came out on top, give our customers a lot of security," says Pieter-Bas Broshuis. "Our trailers simply have to be exceptionally good so that they can last for many years. That can be seen right away, but after decades this investment will pay off even more! I am sure that Van den Heuvel has made the right choice, for now and certainly for the future."
The US army has tested Broshuis' pendulum axle extensively. Deliveries to the military take place every day and so do external extensive quality checks. This is how we constantly keep our trailers at a high quality.
